Suicidal Ideation

Suicidal ideation is relatively common among adolescents, with studies suggesting that 15-25% of teens report having seriously considered suicide in the past year. Persistent suicidal thoughts are associated with increased risk of suicide attempts and completions. Screening for suicidal ideation in primary care and school settings can help identify at-risk youth and connect them with appropriate mental health support.
