Biography

Dr Virginia Carter Leno is a Wellcome Trust Career Development Award Fellow and Research Fellow at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development, Birkbeck, University of London. Her research combines experimental techniques, including electroencephalography (EEG) and neurocognitive paradigms, with advanced statistical models designed to handle complex data from longitudinal cohorts. She is particularly interested in using models of comorbidity to understand the overlap between mental health difficulties and autism, with the aim of promoting positive mental health outcomes for autistic young people.
