Biography
Takako Yeung is an experienced educational leader with a strong track record of driving whole-school improvement, leading organisational change and shaping inclusive, high-performing learning environments across independent, state and international settings. Currently Deputy Headteacher at The King Alfred School in London, she holds senior strategic responsibility for academic achievement and whole-school diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. She combines a deep commitment to high standards with a focus on student wellbeing and belonging. Takako has led significant improvements in academic outcomes by designing systems that balance rigour with pastoral care, and she is passionate about developing approaches that support young people’s mental health without compromising ambition. Her work is underpinned by a belief in education as a transformative, outward-facing force that prepares students not only for academic success but for meaningful engagement with the wider world.
