Biography
Dame Uta Frith is Emeritus Professor of Cognitive Development. She is known for her research on developmental disorders, in particular autism and dyslexia. She is still active publishing books and reviews. These are concerned with aspects of social cognition. She is also interested in improving science communication and has been campaigning for 'Slow Science'. As chair of the Diversity Committee of the Royal Society, she has developed materials concerning unconscious bias in selection committees, and on how to make better decisions in groups.
