Biography
Brett Laursen is a Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Training at Florida Atlantic University (USA). He is a Docent Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Helsinki (Finland) and he holds a research appointment at the Trygfondens Center for Child Research at Aarhus University (Denmark). Professor Laursen received his Ph.D. in Child Psychology from the Institute of Child Development, University of Minnesota (USA), and an honorary doctorate from Örebro University (Sweden). He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Merrill Palmer Quarterly and the Founding Editor of Cambridge Elements in Research Methods for Developmental Science. Professor Laursen is currently involved in several large longitudinal projects that involve influence processes, and their developmental correlates, in peer and parent-child relationships.
