Biography
Emma is a Research Fellow (Trial Coordinator) in the York Trials Unit. Emma’s background is in Psychology and Child Development. She gained her undergraduate and Masters degree from the University of York in Psychology (BSc) and Development, Disorders and Clinical Practice (MSc). Her Masters research focused on developing a scale for measuring academic resilience in primary school aged children. Emma worked in the Department of Psychology as a Research Assistant studying a cross-cultural comparison of joint attention and cognitive development in infants and relationships with their mothers in the UK and Uganda. She then worked at the Child Oriented Mental health Innovation Collaborative (NHS) researching Social Stories for children with autism spectrum conditions, and developing a feasibility study of a social prescribing intervention for adolescents with anxiety and depression. Emma now works in the Trials Unit as a Trial Coordinator on child mental health trials.
