Biography
Tom Cawthorne is the Senior Clinical Psychologist in the National Conduct Adoption and Fostering Team within the National & Specialist CAMHS at the Maudsley. Prior to this he completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway University on the Development and Preliminary Evaluation of CBT for Chronic Loneliness in Young People. This was supervised by Professor Roz Shafran, Dr Sophie Bennett and Dr Anton Käll and included a Single-Case Experimental Design (SCED) in addition to this systematic review. Tom’s clinical and research interests include the development and implementation of evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents, with a particular focus on groups of young people who are often unable to access effective support, including those who experience chronic loneliness, are adopted or fostered, or present with complex behavioural difficulties.
