Biography
David was appointed Foundation Chair in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Leeds in 1994 and has a wide experience of the development, delivery and evaluation of child and adolescent mental health services. He was Chief Investigator of SHIFT, the largest randomised controlled trial of as psychological intervention for reducing repeat self-harm and co-investigator on other large multi-centre randomised controlled trials. His most recent project has been the first Individual Participant Data Meta-analysis of interventions to reduce self-harm.
