Biography

Bushra Farooq is a PhD student at the University of Bristol, her work focuses on the relationship between adverse childhood experiences and self-harm and depression. She is funded by the GW4 BIOMED DTP, awarded to the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter from the Medical Research Council (MRC)/UKRI. Bushra completed her MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Manchester, and then went on to work for The Multicentre Study of Self-harm in England. Her interests lie in using population-based cohort and administrative healthcare data to examine the association between early adversity and adolescent mental health.
