Psychopathic traits in children and adolescents, including callousness, lack of empathy, and manipulative behaviours, are associated with more severe and persistent antisocial behaviours. Specialised treatments focusing on emotion recognition, empathy development, and reward-oriented approaches may be more effective for youth with psychopathic traits.
