Dimensional Psychopathology
Dimensional approaches to psychopathology in children and adolescents focus on viewing mental health symptoms along a continuum rather than as discrete categories. This approach allows for a more nuanced understanding of symptom severity and subclinical presentations. Recent research suggests that dimensional models may better capture the complexity and heterogeneity of mental health problems in youth compared to traditional categorical approaches.
