Biography

I qualified as a doctor in 1980 and became a GP in 1985. Finishing as a partner in a practice in Bristol before retiring from practice in 2017. My second child was born in 1989 and it transpired that he had a severe learning disability, autism and epilepsy.This inspired me to work on NICE autism guidelines, the Westminster autism commission and become the RCGP autism champion. I continue to do some research projects and some teaching.
