Biography

Dr Helen MacIntyre co-authored ‘A brief guide to loneliness among young people and children at school’. Her academic work focuses on children’s social experience and peer relationships at school. She was Head of Evidence at the Campaign to End Loneliness from 2022-24 and prior to that was Research and Learning Lead for Ageing Better in Camden, part of the Ageing Better Programme that aimed to address social Isolation and loneliness among older people. She currently works as a Research and Development Manager for Neighbourly Lab and continues to be involved in projects focused on tackling loneliness at university and in community settings as well as in schools.
