Biography
Professor Frances Gardner is Professor of Child and Family Psychology in the Department of Social Policy and Intervention at the University of Oxford. Her research examines how parenting interventions can reduce child behaviour problems and violence against children across diverse contexts. She co-founded Parenting for Lifelong Health, a global network promoting low-cost, evidence-based parenting programmes, and has led systematic reviews for the World Health Organization’s guidelines on preventing child maltreatment. Her work bridges rigorous research and policy impact in both high- and low-income countries.
