Biography

Dr Steven Papachristou is an Associate Professor of Psychology at UCL Institute of Education, specialising in developmental psychology and the early-life origins of mental ill-health. With a PhD in Epidemiological Psychiatry from King’s College London, his research integrates advanced quantitative methods and longitudinal data to uncover social, cognitive, and biological predictors of mental health outcomes. He has held various academic and research roles at UCL since 2014 and currently leads the MSc in Child Development. A passionate educator and researcher, Dr Papachristou brings fresh insights into how early experiences shape lifelong wellbeing.
